Superheroes Rise Up is an art exhibition developed by artists from Visionaries and Voices (V&V) and Redtree Gallery. The theme revolves around iconic images of classic and modern Superheroes. Since Superman’s debut in 1938, many superheroes have been created and written into comic books that have crossed over into television and film. Superheroes have inspired generations with their physical strength and good morals to do well and be better humans. Recently, Wolverine, the movie had a blockbuster-opening weekend proving the interest and love for superheroes is strong.
Each superhero embraces uniqueness through physical characteristics, different personalities, and creative costumes. Batman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Fantastic Four, Power Rangers and Cat Woman all have super powers and amazing costumes. We are all superheroes who possess similar characteristics, maybe not in spandex and the ability to shoot spider webs, but in our own human ways; we have the power to change lives and better our communities.
What type of Superhero are you?
